Brunéi Darussalam Taux d'inflation

Consumer prices in Brunei fell by 0.1% year-on-year in April 2025, easing from a 0.5% decline in the previous month and marking the third annual drop so far this year. Food and non-alcoholic beverages dropped the least since last September (-0.4% vs -0.6% in March) while costs continued to decline for housing and utilities (-0.2% vs -0.2%), furnishings and household maintenance (-0.2% vs -0.9%), transport (-1.1% vs -1.2%), communication (-0.5% vs -0.5%), recreation and culture (-1.6% vs -1.2%), and miscellaneous goods and services (-0.2% vs -0.2%). On the other hand, inflation held steady for education (0.3%) and accelerated for both health (1.5% vs 1.1%) and restaurants and hotels (0.4% vs 0.2%). Notably, clothing and footwear rebounded sharply, rising 8.4% after a 1.0% decline in March. On a monthly basis, consumer prices rose by 0.3%, reversing a 0.5% drop in March.
