Cap-Vert Taux d'inflation

The annual inflation rate in Cape Verde accelerated for the first time in three months to 2.1% in November 2025, up from October’s ten-month low of 1.6%. The pickup was mainly driven by rebounds in prices for transportation (0.1% vs -1.4%) and food & non-alcoholic beverages, which rose 1.2% after a 0.9% drop in October, marking the highest level in three months. Additionally, accelerated inflation was recorded in alcoholic beverages & tobacco (6.4% vs 5.7%), hotels, restaurants & cafes (9.7% vs 9.6%), and miscellaneous goods & services (3.2% vs 3.0%). Meanwhile, inflation eased for clothing & footwear (12.0% vs 15.0%), furnishings & household equipment (4.6% vs 4.7%), and recreation & culture (0.8% vs 1.1%). On a monthly basis, the CPI rose 0.4% in November after edging down 0.1% in the previous month, marking the largest increase in four months.
