Colombia’s imports rose 16.2% year-on-year to $6.48 billion in July 2025. The increase was driven by manufactured goods, which accounted for 76.7% of total purchases. Imports of manufactured products reached $4.97 billion, up 12.9%, led by chemicals (+19.1%) and manufactured goods classified mainly by material (+19.5%). Purchases of fuels and extractive industry products grew 15.3% to $0.60 billion, boosted by a sharp rise in natural and manufactured gas imports (+386.6%). Imports of agricultural products, food, and beverages jumped 36.5%, led by food products and live animals (+41.4%). China remained Colombia’s top supplier, with a 28.1% share, followed by the US (22.3%) and Brazil (5.5%).
