Colombie Exportations

Exports from Colombia increased 28.4 percent over a year to USD 3.32 billion in August of 2021, the highest since March, following a 27.4 percent rise in the previous month. Shipments grew mostly for fuels (26.6 percent), namely coal, coke and briquettes (77.5 percent); and manufactured goods (50.7 percent) such as chemicals and related products (47.6 percent). Also, a significant increase was seen in sales of agriculture, food and beverages (35.7 percent), namely unroasted coffee and coffee husk (62.8 percent) and bananas (32.9 percent). Meanwhile, Colombian exports of crude oil totaled 11.2 million barrels, 34.3 percent less than the previous year. The most important trading partners were the United States (27.1 percent of total exports), China (9.5 percent), Turkey (5.9 percent) and Ecuador (4.8 percent).
