Kosovo Balance Commerciale

Kosovo’s trade deficit widened to EUR 576.4 million in July 2025 from EUR 495.9 million in the same month last year, as imports surged while exports weakened. Imports rose 13.5% to EUR 660.2 million, led by mineral products (share: 13.1%), transport equipment (13.1%), prepared foods, beverages and tobacco (13.0%), machinery and electrical equipment (12.0%), and base metals (8.8%). The largest import partners were China (share: 14.5%), Germany (14.1%), and Turkey (12.7%). Exports fell 2.4% to EUR 83.8 million, base metals accounted for the largest share (21.7%), followed by prepared foods (14.2%), plastics and rubber products (12.5%), miscellaneous manufactured goods (8.5%), and mineral products (7.4%). Main export destinations included Albania (18.0%), North Macedonia (14.7%) and Germany (10.5%).
