Dernières Mises à Jour
Luxembourg’s trade deficit widened to EUR 0.83 billion in March 2025, from EUR 0.75 billion in the corresponding month a year ago, as exports fell while imports rose. This also marked the widest trade gap since December 2024, as exports dropped by 2% year-on-year to EUR 1.29 billion, dragged down by lower sales of transport equipment (-11.6%), manufactured goods of primary materials (-10.2%), and machinery and equipment (-9.5%). Shipments decreased the most for Japan (-15%) and France (-2.1%). Meanwhile, imports increased by 2.7% to EUR 2.12 billion, driven by higher purchases of beverages and tobacco (12%), crude materials, inedible oils, fats and waxes (11.7%), and food and live animals (7.1%). Arrivals grew mostly for the US (16%).
