Macao L'Inflation Alimentaire

Food prices in Macau rose by 1.75% year-on-year in October of 2022, down slightly from a 1.76% increase in the previous month. It was the lowest reading since May, as rising prices of fruit (8.38%), edible oils and fats (4.76%) and cereals & bread (3.86%) were partly offset by decreases in other food items such as vegetables (-1.20%); mild, dairy products and eggs (-1%) and meat & meat products (-0.48%). On a monthly basis, food prices were almost flat.
