Namibie Taux d'inflation

Namibia's annual inflation rate eased slightly to 3.5% in May 2025, the lowest in four months, down from 3.6% in April. The main downward pressure came from lower inflation for housing and utilities (3.6% vs. 4.1% in April) and a sharper decline in transport costs (-1.3% vs. -0.3%). Price growth also moderated for clothing and footwear (1.8% vs. 2.1%), recreation and culture (4.2% vs. 4.6%), and hotels, cafes, and restaurants (4.2% vs. 4.6%). Conversely, inflation for food and non-alcoholic beverages rose to a one-year high of 5.8%, up from 4.9% in April. On a monthly basis, consumer prices increased by 0.2% in May, matching the pace of the previous period.
