Paraguay’s trade deficit widened to $191.7 million in October 2025 from $182.9 million a year earlier. Imports rose 15.2% to $1.71 billion, driven by broad-based increases, particularly in primary goods. Exports grew 16.7% to $1.52 billion, led by surges in olive oil (175.2%), soy flour (120.5%), and corn (68.7%). These gains were partly offset by sharp declines in cotton (-33.3%), wheat (-34%), and sugar (-67.8%) shipments.
