Rwanda Taux d'inflation

Rwanda's overall inflation eased for the first time in five months to 7.2% in July 2025, down from 8.3% in June, which was the highest level since November 2023. This also marked the lowest inflation rate since April, largely driven by a sharp deceleration in food and non-alcoholic beverage prices, which rose at the slowest pace in four months (6.5% vs 10.7% in June), mainly due to a drop in vegetable prices (-2.0% vs 4.3%). Inflation also moderated in housing (2.3% vs 2.6%) and clothing and footwear (6.2% vs 6.6%). Meanwhile, inflation accelerated in several categories: transport (5.6% vs 3.6%), restaurants and hotels (17.6% vs 15.9%), communications (17.6% vs 17.2%), and alcoholic beverages, tobacco, and narcotics (11.0% vs 8.8%). On a monthly basis, consumer prices fell by 0.6% in July — the first monthly decline in six months — after remaining flat in June.
