Zambie Taux d'inflation

Zambia's annual inflation rate decelerated for the third month to 13% in July 2025, reaching the lowest level since November 2023, though it remains above the central bank’s 8% upper target limit. As Africa’s second-largest copper producer, Zambia is benefiting from a surge in global copper prices, helping the kwacha appreciate nearly 20% against the US dollar since the beginning of the year, one of the strongest performances globally. Food inflation slowed to 15.3% in July from 16.7% in June, while non-food inflation eased to 9.7% from 10.3%. On a monthly basis, consumer prices edged up by 0.1%, after a 0.2% increase in the prior month.
