Brazil’s IBC-Br Economic Activity Index, a key GDP proxy, slipped 0.1% month-over-month in June 2025, marking a second straight decline after a 0.7% drop in May, and standing below market expectations of a 0.1% increase. Agriculture contracted 2.3% and industry edged down 0.1%, while services and taxes each rose 0.1%. Excluding agriculture, the index increased 0.1%. Year-over-year, the IBC-Br grew 1.4%, easing from 3.2% in May.
